Being Resilient: An Introductory Mindfulness 4-week Course

An introductory mindfulness 4-week course with an emphasis on dealing with challenging emotions during these times.

There will be weekly mindfulness talks, along with guided practice and journaling.

75-minute classes, Saturdays from 10:30 am - 11:45 am, Pacific Time. Online via Zoom.

Being Resilient Practicum 4-week Online Series, Open to All

This 4-week online mindfulness series allows students to practice many of the resilient techniques learned in our introductory mindfulness course that dealt with challenging emotions during these times.

Why take this series? To become more aware of the thoughts that drive emotions so that you can better manage them. Time to shift out of mental auto-pilot and put yourself into the driver's seat. You can choose your thoughts, and I will show you how.

An introductory mindfulness course is not a prerequisite to this series. All techniques will be explained before practicing them in meditations. Meditation practices will be 20 to 30 minutes.

There will be weekly mindfulness talks, along with guided practice and group sharing.

75-minute classes, Saturdays from 10:30 am - 11:45 am, Pacific Time. Online via Zoom.

Mindful Creative Writing Salon

Ignite your creative flow during the month of June.

Drop-in classes offered Fridays, 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm Pacific Time. (If you have to leave early, that is okay.)

Each session, there will be a group discussion, guided meditation, and free-form writing. You will be given writing prompts or feel to bring in something that you are working on -- this is your writing time. Afterward we will share excerpts.

This is a time and place to get inspired, break through writer's block, create new ideas, and find writing companionship.

You can write in longhand, on your computer, or tablet. Whatever works for you.

Sessions will be recorded.

This class is donation based. Give what is in your heart and can afford. All are welcomed. No one will be turned away. Note: you will need to register for each session.

Mindfully Happy: Creating Your Inner Sanctuary

THIS CLASS IS CLOSED. IT WILL BE SCHEDULED AGAIN AT A LATER DATE.

Universally, everyone wants to be happy. However, most do not have a clue about how to achieve it. Many think it is when you find the right person, get the right job, move into the right home, and it is none of these. Everything I mentioned is an exterior, conditional circumstance when, in truth, happiness is what happens on the inside, which you then project outwardly.

In this course, I will lead you through a seven-step process that will enable you to create your Inner Sanctuary. By the end of this course, you will have the essential tools to build a life that is mindfully lived on purpose.

Session One

  • Myths About Happiness, the Myth of More, and the Myth of “I will be happy when.” 
  • Happiness Set-point: Exploring the Happiness Continuum.
  • Step One, Your Foundation. Be 100% Accountable for Your Happiness

Session Two

  • Step Two, Your Mind. Do Not Believe Everything You Think.
  • Step Three, Your Heart. Lead with Love.
  • Step Four, Your Body. Make Your Cells Happy.

Session Three

  • Step Five, Your Soul. Connect to Spirit.
  • Step Six, Your True North. Live Life on Purpose.
  • Step Seven, Your Community. Cultivate Nourishing Relationships.

Session Four

  • Your Happiness Plan.

Online sessions, Tuesdays and Thursdays for two-weeks, 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm, Pacific Time.

TGIF Nourishing Body Scan Meditation

A perfect way to end your week and begin your weekend. No business Zoom calls. No COVID-19 news. This is your time to simply chill and relax.

From now thru the end of May, drop-in sessions offered Fridays, 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm Pacific Time

Each session, there will be a short mindfulness talk before our guided body scan meditation. 

Get comfy. You can turn off your video screen on Zoom and just listen to my voice. Feel free to lie down. Bring your pillows, a blanket, perhaps light a candle -- this your time for self-care. 

Please note: no classes on May 22nd. It is my birthday ;-)
